Pre-setting can reduce the OAL of the spring from 1-4 inches depending on spring and gun to allow for easier installation.
We do not preset most springs that are not in kits because of plate glass rollers- highly stressed springs will lose some squareness in setting- enough to cause complaints from the above. It's just the way it is. If you do not order the option on checkout, we cannot offer this option later.
